I'm working on a project right now and I'm putting together the bibliography, but when I copied and pasted, there is a huge space between one word and another. Why is that? Is there any way I can fix this? Is there something in Microsoft Word that can help?

Thank you.

Whenever you run into a cut-and-paste problem, try Paste Special.

In Microsoft Word versions prior to Word 2007:

1. Click the Edit->Paste Special menu item.

2. Select Unformatted Text in the As list box.

3. Click OK.

In Word 2007, 2010:

1. Press ALT/CTRL/V.

2. Proceed as in Step 2 above.

Hope that helps.

1) When you paste, try pasting special and then select unformatted text. That will force the pasting to use the formatting you are using in the rest of the document.

2) What is happening, is that the pasted text comes with formatting that calls for the text to be spread evenly over the whole line. its one of the selections up at the top near right justified, left justified and centered etc... you might be able to just select the text and then select another kind of paragraph formatting...

good luck.... I think there are also bugs in word in this area...so sometimes there is nothing that seems to fix this.

spacing is to big. Try abiword, it does not have these problems.
