Aha, I happen to know a free yet professional DVD ripper. Check WinX DVD Ripper at http://www.winxdvd.com/dvd-ripper/ No trial, no registration, no watermark, no time limits.

All you need to do is to import the DVD, set the output format, select the destination folder to save to your PC and click "start". Super easy to operate. And some additional features are also available for advanced users. lol

More importantly, it rips all kinds of DVDs without loss of video quality. That's why I love it!

To my understand, a good DVD ripper should have the capability to remain excellent video/audio quality like the original DVD. I've tried several DVD rippers and the best one is Moyea DVD Ripper.

It can rip DVD to regular video formats as AVI, FLV, WMV, MPEG, MP4, MOV, etc.You are also allowed to adjust the video parameters to optimize video quality as you wish. Super fast ripping speed and fairly easy to operate.

Hope it helps!

DVDShrink is a nice free dvd ripping software, you may download it for a try

I'd prefer using this DVD Ripper, my friends recommend it to me, it's not free, but it can help you rip protected DVD movie. Free DVD ripper can only help you copy DVD to computer in multiple files, but this DVD ripper can help you rip DVD into one AVI or MP4 video or copy DVD to computer in one VOB file. I think it deserves the money. If you are interested in it, here is a guide about how to download and use it

Hope it helps. Contact me if you have any other question.

I recommend that you use HandBrake to rip the DVD's. Handbrake is freeware and it works for both mac and windows, It will recognize the different titles and you can choose which title you want to rip.

But if it's copy protected, then you can use DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink to remove the copy protection and after that you can use HandBrake to convert the dvd to mp4, avi or any other format.

All of them are free from charge, no watermark, you can download them here:

DVDShrink (Google for downloads) works best for me. It can make dvd's from any region region-free, allows compression and removal of extra material, subtitles, other languages, etc, and has a very usable and user friendly user interface (in my opinion).
