When I try to open internet explorer (my homepage is Comcast) it won't open and says a problem with this webpage has caused internet explorer to close and reopen this tab. It says that over and over no matter what I do. I tried running a scan with my security and that didn't help. What is this in EXTREME laymans terms and what can I do step by step please. This is what it says in the top.

The problem is not with your system or the explorer. Problem is with the webpage. Try this.

1. Disconnect from Internet. (Removing the network cable.)

2. Open the IE Browser.

3. It will open the page but since network is absent, you will not get the page.

4. Then go to Internet Options -> Home page.

5. Change the home page to something like "google" or "yahoo".

6. The connect your network cable.

This will solve the issue.

Well here is it then :

In plain text

Goto Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) to open IE browser without addons.

Then goto the menu on the top righthandside and click on Options -> Internet Options

and

change the home-page to what is was before you had the problems....

exit the IE and start it as normal

Thats all there is...

First of all, try another browser. For example: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

If that dosent work I guess it has something to do with your anti virus settings.

You have spyware and something like

McAfee isn't going to pick it up. Go to bestbuy and ask for help. You'll probably need to buy a cd with the spyware protector on it
