Before you give me any stupid answers, I'm using a different computer for this.

I have Windows 7. I'm not very good with computers :/
It's like a loop. It's in updates 4 of 4. After it says it's done, it says it shutting down but it just restarts and does the same thing.
What do I do? :[

Step 1:Run System File Checker (SFC) scan to fix any corrupt system files. To do this, follow the steps mentioned in the link below:

How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

Step 2:Run the fixit available in the link below to reset windows update components.

If this does not work try asking Microsoft's technical support experts at answers.microsoft.com. (link below.) You will see two options, Search the community and Post to the Community. You must have a Microsoft email address (like @live.com) to use the forum.

Since there's a problem with installing the one update, this will continue to happen each time your computer is restarted. You would need to change your settings, as Kayla suggested above, from automatically updating. Go to All Programs, Windows Updates, in the left pane click on "Change Settings". In the dropdown menu under Important Updates choose "Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them", then click OK. You can then "view history" under updates and see which one is causing the problem.

hi, have you ever tried urgent F8 and then utilising the finest familiar strong configuration? it is a undemanding challenge yet there would not look a lot of an answer except for a gadget fix in case you will get that to paintings. Failing that see in case you are able to borrow a vista deploy cd from a buddy and boot from that and use the restore selection. Arnak

are you saying it turns on, says installing updates, then restarts? If yo could try using your phone maybe to get a video of it that would be helpful.
