Computer Geeks Please Help?

Hope you weren't offended by me asking for computer geeks, to be honest I wish I was one. I'm going to organize my questions into a list so they can more easily be answered and is better to read.

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 as my OS.
My graphics card is an Nvidia 7800 gt SLI.
Processor is AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.21 gHz

1) How come I have 3gb worth of RAM plugged in, yet it only says 16gb for RAM, and only 232 gb for free hard disk space? I don't get it.
2) With my current specs above, is it necessary for me to upgrade to an Nvidia 8800 card (I heard 9800gtx are unstable). This is regarding play in World of Warcraft. If not the 8800, which card would be best for WoW play? Price is irrelevant.
3) In regards to question 1, I heard that Vista doesn't support over 2gb of RAM, is that why my third 1gb card isn't doing anything at all?
4) Is BestBuy or Fry's a safe place to have my computer upgraded say if I were to have them install a new graphics card, e.t.c.? I heard someone say that some employees steal information, put in old peices, e.t.c. It's either that or a small place operated by some IT professional.
5) My mouse keeps double clicking by itself. I'll click once but it'll double click sometimes, closing extra windows, making files open twice, e.t.c.
6) Lastly, how can I change my settings to make Vista so basic that it's almost like XP? I heard Vista sucks alot out of my computer and it definately shows when I'm playing World of Warcraft. Is there any to change the settings so that it's not so heavy?

Thank you very much in advance, sorry if any of the questions sound ignorant and or stupid.

I'm going to answer them very blunt and straight forward-

if you need any other explanation, you can email me.

1) It says 1.6, not 16... that's because part of it is being allocated elsewhere (like to your video card)

2) Again, some is being allocated to a partition probably... the D: drive that you have no idea what it is... yeah that.

3) You won't need to upgrade I don't figure... if you wanted to- feel free to jump to the 9800, you should be fine.

4) Vista supports up to 4 gbs of ram on 32 bit processing. 64 bit is needed to go above 4, so you're fine.

5) Sounds like the double click speed may be set for a lower/higher click speed than you'd like.. check the control panel for the mouse settings and look for "Double Click speed"

6) In the settings under the properties section after right clicking on the desktop, there are generally some themes and extra things you can turn off, but be sure you aren't running any other unnecessary programs or files while playing...

1) your question does not make sense! you have 3 GB of RAM and then you say you have 16????

2) WOW will tell you the minimum specs it requires

3) i think only 64bit computing recognises up to 4GB of RAM, but i am only sure about that in XP

4) go to a local guy

5) get a new mouse

6) do you have Aero theme enabled? disable it

The way to change your mouse to the double click choice can be found in your control panel under folder options
