pentium 4/amd athlon 64 series would only be used with
any DX9 GPU up to the geforce 7950gx2 single or sli
and use only ddr2 400mhz ram
core2/athlon II series would be used with any DX10 only GPU
up to the GTX 295 or whatever the most powerful setup could be
probably the gtx 285 tri sli with a 790i motherboard
corei7/phenom II would be used with any DX11 only GPU
and since DX11 cards are the current ones right now you would just
continue to upgrade your graphics until the latest card for that generation
came out.
it would be organized as if the pc's were different consoles for games from the time.
example-games from up to mid 05 would be used on the pentium4/pentiumD/amd athlon 64
pc.
games from up to early 2009 would be on the core2/athlon II system
and games from early 2009 to present would be on the I7/phenom II system and going.
Does any of this make sense or does anyone see what i trying to get at?
of course all games witht he exception of crysis would have to be played on the later system rather than the eyar that it came out. this way you could keep all your systems and games as if they were consoles and wouldnt always have just one primary computer your entire life
where you would have to keep transfering your files and such to every new system.
