how do i swap the x and y axis of my mouse.
None of my drivers give me this option.
I remember on an old 386 i had, i could do this, but not on XP.
Its an optical mouse, and i'd be more comfortable if i could switch the axis, and maybe invert it too.

How do you do these things??

I believe that 'Pivot' has this capability. Give the free 30-day trial a look and see if it allows you to configure the mouse the way you want. (See first link.)

Also, if your mouse is made by Microsoft, you can use Microsoft's Intellimouse software to do this. There's an option to move the mouse in whatever direction you want to move the pointer in particular ways, and it will figure out how to swap/invert axes (even mix them) to make that happen.

Update: I don't have access to Intellipoint handy, but it's the thing where it asks you drag the mouse in a straight line. Just drag in the direction you want to work.

via fact you're asking this, i assume which you're taking an intro to algebra direction. in case you look on your text cloth the place it talks approximately perpendicular lines having slopes that are opposite reciprocals, you will actually see that it incredibly is in simple terms valid if the two slopes are defined. It then will go directly to assert that all and sundry horizontal lines are perpendicular to all vertical lines. The x-axis is horizontal and the y-axis is vertical so they're perpendicular. As an above poster factors out, incredibly than utilising the slopes there are different strategies of showing 2 lines are perpendicular which get around this actual difficulty.
