PCSX2 memory card formatting failed?

this is my second question about this silly emulator XD okay, everything is working great except for my ability to save.

if I click "savestate" OR press F1, the entire emulator crashes, saying "this program has stopped responding." so I, a noob on this thing, discovered that there are so called "memory cards." I was like yeeeey! but when it asks me to format it, I say yes, and a millisecond later it says "formatting failed." I've spent hours working with this emulator to get ONE game to work, and I just run into another problem!

BTW, the game disk is mine and the BIOS are mine, I also have a great computer for running games. seriously this PS2 game runs as smoothly as it would on my PS2. heeeeelp? :/

Get the latest pcsx2 from http://pcsx2.net/download/development/svn.html

You shouldnt need to format the memory card. just play the game, and then save the game while in game, and it saves to the memory card file.



You should never use save states to saved the game. They are only for temp saves and debugging.
