How do I view my product key in BIOS?

Question

Ive just been informed by david that my product key for my o/s is stored in BIOS. Could someone please explain to me in easy terms how to go about the process of viewing it so I can either make a note of it or be able to access that information myself in the future if I need to. Thankyou.

Product keys are usually found on a sticker, either on the back of your laptop or under the battery, or if you have a desktop, on the top or back of the case.

If you have a retail version, or you built the computer yourself, you should know where you've left it.



If you really can't find it, there is free software that can retrieve your product key. Check google and take your pick.
