Help - How to save zip files.?

When i wanted to save sims 2 downloads they require being downloaded as a zip file. Before it worked but know whenever i download a zip file it comes up that it has to be opened with windows media player. What happened? How do i download them properly?

I would guess they are being downloaded properly, your computer is just suggesting the wrong thing to open them with. Try right clicking on the .zip icon and click explore.

sounds like youve scrambled your file asociations



in XP

go to any old folder

click tools-> folder options->file types tab

scroal till you find .zip type file

click change button

and find winzip/other zip program

tick box saying open with this every time

click ok

and your done
