I have a Samsung S630. I accidentally deleted the program for it, and since I've reinstalled it (software/drivers from original disk), the computer is not recognizing my camera. When I connect it w/ the USB cable, it never comes up, and when I try to open from "my computer" it's not there. What have I done wrong or what should I do differently upon reinstallation???

When you hook it all up do you have the camera ON? If not turn it ON after you hook it up then the computer should reconize it if not then the USB cable is bad. The port could be bad try another 1.

Just installing the driver might not work since it was there previously. Right click on my computer, select properties then select hardware, and take device manager. I think your camera might still be in the "?" section as a device waiting to be installed. If that is so, then double click on the device and go for installing drivers from there. Go for search and find the right driver and also keep the driver CD in your computer itself. It will search and find the right driver and install it. Then check in your computer, I think that will do. Anyhow, Good Luck.

Try to install latest driver from samsung website

http://www.samsungcamera.com/customer/download/cus_down_main.asp

near "search" button write "s630" and press "search" button. Download drivers for camera. it is in zip format. Unzip it and install it.

Note:- while installing driver, ensure that camera is not attached to computer.then reboot and then only attach camera. Most problem in usb device is that people attach their camera and then install driver which mess up the installation.

i'm suspicious of your USB cable. make advantageous that it is the cable that got here with the digital camera. additionally, replace the cable. some cameras would desire to be became directly to view photographs already taken,so verify the instruction manual in this. reliable luck bill

Failing that, try a different USB port.
