Defrag HDD, run registry cleaners, spyware cleaner, set pagefile to 1.5x amount of RAM, set performance visual options to "max performance", use 16bit color opposed to 32bit, add more RAM, configure a RAID 0 or 5 array, clean up hard drive of unneeded files, etc etc etc

download ccleaner, adaware and spybot search and destroy. Install all 3 and run them in that order. then defrag. you should be in better shape after that. and just a thought..more ram is usually a good investment for overall performance. hope this helps R.

try disk clean up ,try disk defragment, try scandisk for error, scan the computer with anti virus software . good luck .
