Open the picture, right click and choose "save as". Under that dropdown there will be an option as to what form you wish to save it -- choose ".gif". And save it separately from the .jpeg file or overwrite it -- your choice!

you can use the MS Paint from the start menu if you're using Windows simply open the JPEG image using MS paint and then once the image is loaded, simply click file then click "save as.." from the menu.. there should be another window that would open requesting the file name and the location where you want to place the new file.. at the last dropdown box, you will see the "save as type:" selection.. select the format you want the photo to be saved as, then name the new file and save it... Hope this helps!!!

you can change from a jpeg to gif by using a graphics software or image editing software application (program).
something like adobe photoshop is an program that i would recomend.
you can also use MS Paint which is a image editing software that is included with your PC. i don't know image editing software on MAC though.

If you can not open the files with paint or other software, you clearly have a pc issue. You can try right clicking the file and just renaming the extension (if its in the name). If the extension is not in the name, open up just any old folder and click on Tools, Folder Options, View tab (on new window), scroll down and uncheck the option for Hide extensions for known file types.

Open the Paintbrush. Start>Programs>Accesories Paintbrush.
Open the picture. File>open>browse for your pictureand open it.
Then go to file>save as, and choose the file type you want. Could be JPG or GIF save it and you're done!

Hi,
A good software to edit your images is GIMP. The best free alternative to photoshop in my opinion. Grab it here http://bit.ly/1zbm8Ip
It's a must have program.
Hope it helps.
