Hi
In the midst of my spring clean, I found 2004 old floppy disks that I want to throw out. However, I know that they contain old archive files that I want to delete before I get rid of the floppy disks.
Now, i no longer have a pc with a floppy disk drive so how do i clear the contents of these disks?
Hope you can help

Just take them to bit's they are quite easy to break up mate then you can destroy the floppy disc inside with scisssors.

Never knew anyone still used floppy disks. Computers haven't been built with floppy disk drives for years

Easiest, but least environmentally friendly, way to get rid of them would be to burn them - this is the only true method of actually ensuring complete data destruction anyway.

Break the plastic case off and cut the disc into pieces.

strong magnet, hold it up to it for a few seconds. should destroy all contents.

or open the metal slider and punch a sharp knife into it.

Bury them in your backyard...
