can i return something from best buy that I bought at a different best buy store?

i bought a performance service plan with my laptop at a best buy store that is further away from my house. I want to return the plan and get a refund but is it necessary to go back to the store that I bought the plan from? or could I go to my local best buy?

Yes, you can return anything bought from Best Buy to any other Best Buy store. That is as long as it's within the return period. Depending on when the plan was purchased, if it were used, etc you should be able to return it at your local Best Buy. With service plans though it comes to the discretion of management. Since when they return it, it hits their numbers they might object and tell you to go to the other store.

You might if the other one has the same plan.. Just take in your receipt to the store you want to get the refund from. I know Wal-Mart does that.

You should be able to go to your local Best Buy to return it. Just make sure to have the receipt, and the credit card it was purchased with (if it was purchased with a credit card).
