Is it an external hard drive? If it is then it is probably NTFS which is a proprietary file system created by Microsoft. You can READ off of NTFS but you won't be able to modify it. You need to reformat the drive as FAT32. Erase it in Disk Utility (Utilities folder) with the correct format chosen from the drop down list.
If the above is not the case and it worked previously then just try unplugging it and restarting the computer and plug it back in.

attempt pluging it in yet another computer If that dont artwork then your Flash force has been burned Why? as a results of fact in case you didnt press the risk-free to eject button on your initiate bar. and then there is that this extreme danger of your Flash force Getting Erased or Somthing Else. Like consistent with danger it Wont artwork..

Maybe it is write protected. Some of my usb devices have a little tiny switch which is moved it will stop it beinf being modified.
This is usualy implaces to stop flies from accidently being deleted a bit like you used to lock floopy disks.

Start by getting a pc and throwing your mac away.
