Question:
What does the usb slot look like?

I just asked a question about uploading pictures from my camera on to the computer, and someone said something about a usb slot. There are 2 spaces that look like they could fit the cord thingy into, one has a little diagram above it and the other doesn't. Is that enough information to be able to tell which slot i need to stick the plug into?? And if yes, which one?

The USB port has the USB symbol over it.

Those symbols and pictures are great but just look for :

a rectangular slot 1/2 inch long by 1/4 inch high. In your CPU (the box in which all your computer parts are) at the back where all your plugs and wires go you will see usually two USB slots, the size I described.

If you don't find them just ask some nice person at any store or business where the USB is and they will be glad to show you.

I didn't know either until I asked one day...many years ago.

Good luck.

Well if you've got the USB cable which came with the camera, just plug one end into the camera and see which slot the other end fits into. Pretty simple really.
