Everything is saying my computer is under spyware attack and I'm not a computer person, so I don't know how to get rid of it.

I'm freaking out because I have important files on my computer that I can't lose but because of the 'spyware attack' it won't let me load my files onto a CD.

Please explain what to do in a way that I can understand.

Oh, also, my computer isn't letting me download anything either so I can't do that.
