How can I make my D drive the primary drive on my computer?

Hi,

My main problem is that I recently had to have my computer reformatted by the guys at PC world, and originally they partitioned the 500GB hard drive, with 50GB accessible on the C Drive and the other 450GB inaccessible. After complaining, and taking it back in, they have made the extra 450GB accessible; but on the D Drive, not the C. I really don't want to take it in to have them mess it up- again- so is there any way that I can reallocate the space on the D drive to the C drive or make the D drive primary? Preferably without having to remove all my programmes, but at this point, I really don't care!

Thank you,

Rebecca.

Download any free partition tool, and use that OR windows in-built disk manager by right clicking computer, then manage, then disk management and shrinking D drive and extending C drive.

No need to format or lose any data.

Although, it seems like a better idea to leave it how it is, as C drive should only be used by the operating system and have everything else installed in your D drive, this reduced the potential of viruses (viruses are more effective in C drive, closer to your system files, while some shitty viruses may not operate properly in D drive).

.......'imagine your d: power is an prolonged partition of c: power, i propose you backup your records and merge the partition mutually,,, .....ok, you may not use your d: power to be your significant bootcontinual except there is an operating software (domicile windows xp, vista, 7) put in there are some loose disk manager which are available in on the web that are able to merging walls without the will of formatting,,,,,,

usually the one that windows is installed on is C , it's not hard , try installing a pirated windows during the installation it will give you the option to reformat and change things
