Print screen function?

my job depends on the print screen function. all of a sudden it stopped working... does anyone have any ideas of why this is happening? it's a regular pc and everything looks normal. there are no error boxes - nothing happens..... please help.


on word absolutely nothing happens.
on paint it says error getting clipboard data

It sounds to me like you might have had a printscreen program that was handling this task for you. Maybe this program isn't running? Try rebooting and see if the error persists. If it does, all I can offer is an excellent freeware program that might help you get around your problem. It's called Gadwin Printscreen. It has a great set of features. I use it all the time.

Print Screen button only copies the contents of the current window and puts the image onto clipboard. you now need to open word and either press CNTRL+V or Edit, paste to put the picture on the blank document.



What exactly is happening in your case when you do this?
