I have lost some of "My Pictures"?

Question

I recently put all "My Pictures" on to a cd,I was having a look at them I wanted to email one photo.All of the pictures are there on the cd except the ones I wanted but the file name is still there.Is there anywhere except "search" that I can recover the missing pictures from the hard drive? If there is a way please can it be explained in easy terms. Also if I do a system restore will it recover the missing pictures? Thank you

If you put you pictures on to the cd and then deleted them from your computer, it is likely that you won't be able to recover them. Not even with system restore. System restore only reverts the changes done to your computer, not it's files. Your cd is probably scratched at that point.

I'm sorry about your pictures being lost. I thought I lost some pictures and I was really frustrated.

Use a file recovery utility. There are paid one's as well as free one's. One example of a free one is Recuva. It may take long to scan though.

hmm, the pictures should be there--

One thing to try is to take the picture, and change the file name to .jpg

Sometimes if you do not have the file extension, the pictures will not show up.

i think if name is there file should be unless otherwise u rename other files. search the files using search option.also not there you need data recevory software
