can someone identify what part of my pc is faulty? everytime i use google chrome it stops responding and crashes and when i use microsoft word for a longtime it receives an error that there's not enough memory so the microsoft word crashes and exits. It often happens everytime i use sandboxie program to use it in my online game RAN online to dual login my accounts. I have a 5120mb RAM amd athlon II x4 635 2.9Ghz with windows 7 ultimate 64-bit and ASUS ATI RADEON HD 6850

you have 512 meg of RAM and that is very little by today's standards. Adding RAM is the easiest and cheapest things you can do to speed up a PC. Go to http://www.crucial.com/ and have it scan your PC to find out how much RAM you have, what type it is, and how much it would cost to add more.



I suspect that this is just the tip of the iceberg. You should have at least 20% of your HD as free space. Windows needs space for itself to run. It uses free space on your HD when it runs out of RAM. Press Win key-E and on the left side of this window, right-click on the C drive and select Properties. You will see a pie chart of your HD including how much free space you have. You may have to delete seldom used programs to gain space. Also Run CCleaner which will free up some HD space.

I had to uninstall chrome my computer wouldn't work when I thought It was a better program. I got just about the same computer you do. Now that it's gone it fine.

Check your memory. One of the sticks may have gone bad or needs to be reseated.
