I just made a document with multipul different types of fonts. When I sent it to another computer (via email) to be printed, but the fonts were changed in microsoft word on that computer. How do I print it without the fonts being changed? Thank you so very much for your help.

Sounds like the machine you sent to doesn't have the fonts it needs. You can send those fonts along with the document this way:

In versions of Word prior to Word 2007:

1. Click the Tools->Options menu item.

2. Click the Save tab.

3. Check the Embed True Type Fonts checkbox. To keep the file a manageable size, you might want to try also checking Do Not Embed Common System Fonts.

4. Click OK.

In Word 2007:

1. Click the round Office button in the upper-left corner of the window.

2. Click the Word Options button.

3. Click Save.

4. Check Embed Fonts in the File.

5. Click OK.

Hope that helps.

It is very likely that you used some fonts that are not standard and are not on the other computer.

Fonts that are not present on the other computer will not be displayed correctly.

To get around that, you can embed the fonts used into the Word file. To do that, click on "Tools", "Options", then go to the "Save" tab. Then enable the "Embed TrueType fonts" checkbox.

Thereafter, when you save a Word file, it will also embed the fonts into the Word file. This will make the file a bit larger, but it means that the other computer will also be able to display all the fonts correctly and print them out as viewed on the screen.

You need to have the same Version of Microsoft word on both computers. Or you can just change the fonts on the computer that prints.

First of all i have to ask if the computer your sending it too has the same word ie. word 2003 on both PC's. if they are the same then i would ask if they have the same fonts installed, if both of these are true then there is something wrong with the second PC's word and may need a reinstall.

Another solution is if the Printer is Networked then you can add the printer to your PC and print it out that way

Convert it to a PDF.

If all you wanna do is print it, just make it into a PDF and it'll save the font packages along with the file.

To make it a PDF, i think you can do this by opening the Word file into Adobe Acrobat Reader (free download here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/ at least i think it's free....)

and save it as a PDF.

THEN email it =)

Sorry, but there's no way to stop it. Some computers don't have the same fonts as another.
