where to find the changes to an emailed document I received in Outlook Express?

i received a word document in outlook express, i opened it and modified. i saved the changes in that same document. When i opened it again from the email the changes weren't there. Where can i find the modified document?

You need to do a 'save as' to save changes

>file >save as....chose where you want to save it.

If you don't save the file to a specific location before you modify it, you should be able to recover a saved (updated) version in your Temporary Internet files folder.



Open Internet Explorer



Tools -> Internet Options (you may have to choose classic view to see this) -> General -> Temporary Internet Files -> View Files



There should be a copy of the attachment here.

+If you have the document open and you click FILE > SAVE AS it will give you an idea of where the document has been saved. Just remember not to actually save it or it will overwrite the one you have previously modified.

when you save the word doc, click on save as. in file menu, save it in other place on your computer.



other wise what happens is you are changing in outlook, but that wont change it in the main email where it is forwarded from, when it sync it changes it back....
