Computer hacker genius?

I'm fairly advanced on the computer for my age and I want to be like those guys on TV who are total computer geniuses. The ones who can hack into alarm systems and into networks. Get into locked system files like Alex Rider does in some of his books. Be able to create programs. Be able to set up like something like Riley did in the movie National Treasure Book of Secret.
I dunno just be able to hack into things. Maybe even things like make my own system code to tweak my iPod touch or MacBook. Like making my own jailbreak code.

How should I go about doing this? Is there any jobs that I could use this knowledge in? Is there a degree? Is this even real or is it just movie stuff?
And I wouldn't like, hack into the White House or anything. Just something cool to know how to do and show to my friends

Become a fan of Charlie Miller:

His methods are simple, and require patience. Of course, breaking into a Mac in under 2 minutes can be exciting, too:

It requires study. Time. Experience. And it's not illegal, as long as you don't crack into OTHER PEOPLES computers!

...Ok, so check it out.

Here lies your 1st problem.

You're using a mac.

2nd problem.

NONE of the **** you see in movies is real. NONE.

No 12 year old kid hacks into the pentagon and changes all the traffic lights throughout the country from red to green.

No one is born into computer genius, its something you have to work at. Granted, there are people out there more naturally talented at computers than others, but NO ONE just knows instantly how to hack into things, its not how it works.

Ask a hacker in person. The reason I say this is because, first of all, it's illegal, and for another thing, Y! Answers isn't the best place to ask these types of questions. I have been around here for awhile (on this and other users, years and years of experience) and I just wanted to let you know that.

you can ask what you want,,for a while i couldn,t not even answer,,but you learn keep studying, mistakes make perfect,i could work for someone too.yes.possible without detail.others might grovel..a laptop...suitcase of hard drives,,a chip to change ip address. ,,WIFI of course in a library,,a program to delete your i.d. but you bought it used ..untraceable..jobs would be in a well known internet service or company,,law enforcement ,which i would do if i were you.you get it,,it is illegal but so are lots of things,,even speech now is being censored,,but,,no ,do not even think about doing that stuff, what pleasure can you get from violating others rights, when you can,t even see them..think about that,,thank you
