I'm trying to play an old computer game that i found on my computer, but in order to play I have to change my colors to "256-color mode". I saw through browsing the internet that you need to go to something called "Program Manager", but of course I can't find it. If anyone knows where to find the "Program Manager" or ever help me through changing the color to 256-mode it would be great.

if you're using xp then right click on the program short cut or the program file itself and click properties then click the compatibility tab put a tick in the box marked "run in 256 colors" click apply now try your game

when you come out of you're game the original colour setting will be restored

i'm not sure if it might artwork, yet you could probable tension the setup software to run in 256 shade mode. of direction, you will additionally could tension the sport to run in 256 shade mode besides, yet this is yet another tale. To tension the setup to run in 256 shade mode, once you place the CD in, bypass to my laptop and then splendid click your CD/DVD force and click open (do no longer click autoplay or double click the icon... which will probable purely set off the autoplay if there is one). From there discover your setup record (with maximum video games that's oftentimes "setup.exe" or purely "setup") and splendid click it. Then click residences. Then the compatibility tab. From there, under exhibit strategies, verify "run in 256 colorations". Then click ok and run issues as general. i'm not sure if XP recalls settings in keeping with force or in keeping with force label, so i'd recommend turning off the 256 shade s for the setup as quickly because it is put in (if it extremely works), so which you do no longer by risk reason problems with destiny installations. concepts you i'm not sure this would artwork, yet I enormously doubt you would be out lots if it would not. additionally, be beneficial to verify you place the sport's executable to run in 256 shade mode.

Right-Click on your desktop wallpaper and select properties. There should be a settings tab that you can click and set your resolution and colours that way.
