How do u pause a part of a clip on windows movie maker?

I'm making a movie on windows movie maker for vista and i want to pause a section of a clip.

Any idea how i can do this?

1. Make sure you are viewing your movie in the timeline and not storyboard mode.



2. Select the place on the timeline where you want to pause



3. Click open the Clip menu on top and select Split



3. After it splits don't move your reference on the timeline. Click open the Tools menu and select "take picture from preview". It will ask you to save a snapshot picture from the clip.



4. After you save the picture it should automatically import that picture into the Imported Media folder. If it doesn't you can do this manually. Select the snapshot picture and place it on the timeline between the two split sections.



5. You can drag the picture length to make your pause longer or shorter.



6. Start the whole thing over from the beginning and give yourself a pat on the back while you watch your sweet pause effect playback.

it cant be done, you do it with the split tool but you cant do it with windows movie maker, but it can be done with sony vagas pro8, download it for free at prirate bay...if your interested i will give you details.
