A typical user without any special purpose of the computer would buy a PC. If you want to play games and such, PC is the way to go. If you however are in to creating art, music, videos, if you mostly use your computer for photoshop or illustrator - gå with a Mac. Laptops sold today allways have both wifi and a LANport (cable). You ca use whatever you'd like.
Apple makes great computers. but they are very pricey. You could get a much better computer for the same amount of money if you'd go with PC.

Macs are better quality than PC's, although there is one PC brand that is comparable: Alienware, at http://www.alienware.com/.
They are the best PC's by far. If you don't want to switch to a Mac, go with Alienware.
Macs can use both Wi-Fi and Ethernet.

they arent as compatible as pc's
they aren't likely to get a virus such as a pc
