i downloaded youtube videos but its in flv format. my dad is erasing my account so i want to store it onto my usb drive. but because its in flv format it wont play on windows media player. i want to change it to mpg so that it could play in any computer even though there is no flv player. where can i go to convert it and still gave good quality after it is converted? something free and quick? thanks!

Go to www.zamzar.com. It's a really good (free) website where you can convert one type of video to another, even mp3. You can also download Youtube videos. I like to use it to get free songs. Hope that helps.

Go to http://www.zamzar.com/url/ , paste the URL of the YouTube video into the box, choose the format that you would like to download it in, give them your e-mail address, then hit convert. About a half an hour after you upload your video, check your e-mail. A link to the video you are trying to download should be available in the format of your choice. The only problem with this is that you can only do 100 megabytes at a time and the link is only available for 24 hours.

I use the k-lite codec pack, and I am able to view FLV files in windows media player/center



but if you want to convert them then I would suggest magic video converter
