So. I'm currently using Windows 7, me and my family, I got entroduced to linux in school and I kinda got into it. So I searched up Vector and my friends told me that it's great simple to use, runs smooth and good for games.
I don't kow how to dual boot it with my win7. So I was wondering if anbody could help me, i still want the windows 7 to be on and my data to be stored there, i have much schoolwork on it and so do my parents. How do you dual boot it?

Best way to use multiple operating systems is to use a visualization software like VMWARE or Oracle VirtualBox(Free). This is better way and won't mess up with configuration.

Hi,

The best option for you is to install vector in USB external hard drive using either virtual BOX from with in win 7 or have it dual booted using External USB HDD. To do a dual boot you have to put in vector bootable DVD into DVD Rom and restart your PC and hit F12 from the key board this will let you choose to boot from DVD Rom and install Vector using on screen instructions and select USB drive for vector root directory.

Good Luck

The linux website has complete instructions for dual-boot as well as the (slow) trial version.
