We have something called openoffice.org. it is very simular to Microsoft word.
When using Outlook Express normally the spell checker uses Microsoft word to spell check the text.
However we dont have Microsoft word and have openoffice.org and can not spell check our text now that we have this openoffice.org, and is quite anoying when writting many emails and dont have time to check for simple mistakes.

Does anybody out there know of any safe add ons etc that we can get free to work with outlook express without downloading another version of Outlook express or Microsoft word?

SERIOUS answers please....

If that option does not work, then try the steps in the following link (which worked for me with exactly your issue):

Do links not work anymore... What the hell? Here:

www.michaelstevenstech.com/ spellcheck.htm (without the space)

Edit: Replied to your message... sorry it took so long... I do this from work.

I stay in Las Vegas, yet this spell checker needs me to apply LARS, l. a.'s or Laos. Excuse me, yet Las has been round for decades. I also get a in addition situation with l. a.; Laos, Leos or Lois; and Angel es, Angel-es, Angele's. And l. a. has been round even longer than Las Vegas. and that i also get the possessive nonsense as well. An apostrophe earlier the 's' skill the understanding is both a possessive note or a compound note no longer a misspelling. also medical words. I genuinely have macular edema and it needs me to apply Macaulay, muscular or MCUL. Sorry, i have no of them, purely what I typed. And, i'm LDS. It would not note of that, it needs LADS, LIDS or DLS. even if it truly is a valid faith. It also would not note of a number of different religious words. A spell verify is a sturdy situation to have, even if it ought to be huge sufficient to conceal one of those words. yet even with a sturdy spell checker, one negative situation is in case you take advantage of the incorrect note, even if it truly is spelled properly, the spell checker will overlook about it and your spelling blunders will be accessible for all and sundry to work out.

Firstly, I think Open office is very nice, it's free and open.

I'd like to know why you use Windows, but don't pay for the software to go with it.... because I switched to Ubuntu. Now I have openoffice, and Thunderbird mail, and everything works together. Anything I don't like is free, and easy to delete. Everything new is also free.

At the worst, you should stop using Outlook and use Thunderbird! The security is better, and I think it's a much nicer program to use.

Download Thunderbird first, then when you have time - download and burn a Ubuntu CD and reboot your computer to see how you prefer using your lovely free software on a very nice stable and secure linux desktop!
