I want to find out my DNS so that I can try to make the WiFi for my Wii to work properly.

I go to the command prompt and type IPCONFIG/ALL

Although what happens is it says:

"IPCONFIG is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."

Any help?

ipconfig /all

I just did that and it worked for me.

Anyways for your Wii you shouldn't need that, your Wii should automatically detect any wireless networks in range (including ones with passwords) and as long as you know the password for it you can connect to it. If you don't know your wireless password though it can be really tricky to find out depending on your network.

Also you can go to Network Connections, find your network, double click on it, click the Support tab then click Details. The DNS server will be in there. Mine only points to my network though; my DNS server is assigned by my router/modem.

If all else fails you can go into your Network Connections like I said before, but instead of going to the Support tab, click Properties on the General tab, scroll down in the box, click Internet Protocil (TCP/IP), click Properties, check the radio button that says "Use the following DNS server addresses". Then go to http://www.opendns.com/ and use their DNS addresses. (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220, works best if you go there and make an account anyway, there are all kinds of customizable but easy to set up features) After doing that you'll have to click OK on all the boxes and restart your computer. Heck, you can just go to the Open DNS website and they have tutorials to switch your whole home network over to Open DNS if you want (instead of just the one computer like I showed you how to). You could use that DNS address for your Wii by itself if you wanted to I'm sure, but I haven't tried (I didn't even know you could input a custom DNS address on a Wii)

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.
