Some issues with Games on Linux?

I have recently changed my computers OS to Linux Peppermint.
I then decided to start installing games on to it such as World of Warcraft, Minecraft and Spore.
I will start off with explaining my issues with World of Warcraft, I installed it using Wine tricks, the installation seemed completely fine but when i would attempt opening the client, it would try installing and update and fail.
As for Minecraft, When I install it and try playing it just comes up with a black screen, even on the browser, even after installing java plugins.
Spore was installed with a disk through wine tricks and worked!, but i then was unable to install my expansion packs for it but it would tell me that I need to have spore installed to install expansion packs.
I have searched for solutions for these problems but I cant find anything, i have tried re installing, rebooting and no luck, I was hoping someone here could throw in ideas of what they think is wrong or even explain how to sort out these issues if they think they know how.
Thanks for taking the time to read through my question.

Reply :- Peppermint is a very lite Linux system which is designed for internet connection plus it''s a bit out dated, November 2012, and looking at the size of the release I would say some of the files needed for gaming are missing,

You have not stated what your computer is so I'll let you work thing out, if you want Gaming then let me suggest you take a look at Sparky Linux Game Over, You should have no problems with this what so ever, it is up to date May 2013, it stream ready and there are 150 games comes with it, plus more that can be downloaded, I have downloaded it and used it running from the live dvd, I have also installed it on to a 8 gig usb jump/flash drive. it fast,

Here is their website scroll down to the bottom of the web page, there you will see Game Over, Click on it to download it, It's a big download 3.3 gigs,

Linux whilst being excellent at most things, is not a good platform for playing games. Your best bet is to re-install Windows and use that for your games. Then install Linux as a dual boot so you can use that for everything else.

First, end restarting, it is not domicile windows that would not restoration something. Why do you have WINE put in to start with? you have the LINUX Firefox put in genuine? If genuine clicking works high-quality in different apps then Firefox is the priority, identity in simple terms purge and reinstall firefox. Open a terminal: purposes -> upload-ons -> Terminal $ sudo apt-get purge firefox $ sudo apt-get set up firefox $ sudo apt-get set up adobe-flashplugin Do it this form, in case you eliminate firefox from the appliance center this is going to eliminate no longer PURGE. A Purge deletes the config documents besides.
