My webcam's built-in microphone isn't working; does anyone know how to fix it?

The webcam is a Trust webcam bought in Tesco's. Model #: WB-1400T.

Make sure everything is plugged into the correct place. In Windows, go to the control panel, chose sounds and audio devices, chose voice, look at the volume buttons... make sure your mic. is selected. You can also test it here (see the Test hardware button)... good luck

you'll normally find that a mic is muted as deafult do make sure that it's not muted. is a usb and a mic jack or just usb. if it's a mic and usb jack then it's likely to be muted or you haven't got your sound card set up right. if it'sthe usb only type of device it's worth uninstalling and updating the driver

is there a bit at the side of your screen to plug it into instead of at the back of the computer.

or have you checked your volume controll sometimes the mic is switched off or the machine is set to a different mic.
