OK Bud... it's simple, just follow these steps:

1. right-click desktop background

2. select properties

3. click "Appearance" tap

4. choose "WINDOWS STANDARD" from drop down list

That will reset the default settings!

There are Not suppose to be lines between each program icon. But there are different toobars you can add to the taskbar.

Right the taskbar

select toolbars

Choose the ones you want to open or you can create your own. Be sure to select lock toolbars to prevent any automatic changes.

Not exactly sure what you mean.. However if it is your start menu you are refering to and you want it back to the old colors and syles you can

right click on a blank part of the start menu,

properties

start menu tab

then select the start menu button

click ok

Hopefully that was the problem... if not possibly your task bar is locked? or unlocked.. in which case you can lock or unlock by

right click on a blank part of the start menu,

then select lock the taskbar or not.

Hope this helps

this happens alot to me. usually, when it does this you can literally "draw" a complete circle by moving the window. i do not know the word for this dilemma, but pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del helps. I shut down my computer and restart. Then it is back to normal. There might be other ways to stop this nonsense.
