is divx a safe download?

i keep getting a message to download for movies and i want to know if there a safe web site or a safe download please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Naturally, it depends on the site that you download from.

Divx is a file type used for videos like AVI.

Whether or not its a virus depends on where you got it.

If you purchased the file, or its from a widely used website (like Fox, or CNN, or VEOH etc.) chances are its safe.



If you are downloading from the Divx website, I would recommend against it. And instead get the VLC player or Media player classic.



And if you want to convert video, then use SUPER. its an all-purpose converter for video and audio.
