I am confused because myspace is telling me that they cannot obtain deleted content but on the other hand they are telling me they could attempt to obtain a copy but its a difficult process and they cannot garantee that they could retrieve it.
Can someone please explain why they are giving me mixed messages, and if it is possible to retrieve a deleted post from their server.

A website is an inanimate object. You can't subpoena it.

I agree with the above poster but there is something you could do while you contemplate myspace's response and how to go about it.

You can use what's known as he Wayback Machine. Otherwise known as Archive.org. Anything that you publish on the internet never truly gets deleted, because you can always find a way to retrieve it using a number of methods. This is one of them.

I have linked the Wayback Machine below for you.
