I'm a PC builder, I build custom pc's from ground up; motherboards, cpu's, gpu's, apu's, sound cards, etc.

Anyways, I was watching some of Willudesign's (aka Will or aka UnknownLobster) videos. He installed Ubuntu, Windows & Mac OSX on his OS Xbox Pro video. (link below). I was wondering if you can normally do this, I know he builds his stuff from scratch and uses all sorts of products that I've never seen before.

Basically my question is, can you install Mac OSX (any kind) on a custom machine, or do you need any special parts? (without using Hackintosh, VMWare or any other programs like that).

Possible? Yes, given the proper hardware configuration, since Macs use Intel chipsets now.

Worth the total pain in the *** it's going to be? Probably not.

It is possible to run OS X on an Intel based system if it has the one of right CPU models. However, it's not designed to run on anything but Apple hardware so there are a lot of hoops to go through and some things just won't work. It's fine as an exercise but not if you want to actually use OS X to get real work done. There are a number of sites that show how to do this.

I am pretty sure the only way to get OSX on a PC is going the Hackintosh route. Mac OSX is designed to only work on apple hardware. Read some articles found on google. If you want OSX a lot I wopuld just buy a apple computer.

No. The reason Hackintosh exists is because the Mac Os will not run on a Windows machine.
