My LimeWire won't connect? Why?

I can pull LimeWire up, but when I go to search for a song a message comes up saying that LimeWire is still connecting. I left LimeWire up for awhile and it still never connected. What should I do? I've tried restarting my computer and everything.

limewire has a safety device that stops it connecting if it senses scanning in progress or it knows that scanning is happening that area soon.



as limewire is illegal, some internet providers regularly scan their users internet usage, to check it isnt being used illegally. limewire gets around this by having a built in programme which disallows connection when this is taking place.



basically this stops your internet being taken away from you! it should come back on again soon, but if it doesnt, get rid of it and redownload it in around a week :) xxx

That happened to me what i thought the problem was that had it for a long time so I uninstalled it and got the new one called Frostwire trust me it works better than Limewire I think here is the link

Hi,

Ive never had this prob but try uninstalling it via Control panel,add and remove programs then uninstall Limewire,then re installing it.This works if I get ne probs, good luck x

Get FrostWire, it's WAY better and has a better spam blocker.
