Strange problem cannot connected to the internet?

I have strange problem with this one computer .Both IE or firefox will not connect to the internet .But what is straneg is google earth works and I can do updates like windows updates and update my ant-virus program .

Check your computers for malware/viruses.



Sometimes those programs will change the browser settings to try to use their proxy services in order to scam you.



You can also check your browser settings, make sure you're not set to use a proxy or whatever unless you're supposed to do so for your connection.

Sounds as if your firewall is misconfigured and blocking traffic through port 80. Reinstall the browsers, and if possible, reinstall your firewall. It's probably a part of your antivirus, whatever software you're using there.

examine your firewall settings. they may be blocking off IE and Firefox. make effective the firewall isn't set to maximum. And to Ray: there is obviously better than one computer. Ha. 2 solutions in a million!
