On Windows XP, how do you change a user account from "limited" to "computer administrator?

There are 4 user accounts on my computer. Three of them are computer administrators and one is limited. For some reason when starting up, my computer automatically goes to the limited account. It completely skips the screen that lets you choose what user you want. I've tried going to the control panel to change my user status to administrator but I can't because I only have a limited account. I can't do anything on my computer anymore because I'm not the administrator. From a similar yahoo question, I even tried pressing F8 to go in safe mode when starting up the computer and then trying from there to the control panel but that doesn't work. Anyone got any suggestions? Any are very much appreciated. Thanks!

Click start/run and type control userpasswords2 In the window check where it say "users must enter a user name and password" Voila!

Why don't you just switch users (a quick way to do this is holding the windows logo key+l) then get on an administrator account and change the limited account to an administrator or delete it. You can do this by opening User Accounts ( a quick way to do this is click Start Menu then click you user account picture on the top left-hand corner) then click back twice. Next, you click the picture of your limited account and click Change the account type or Delete the account. Hope it's helpful!

you could desire to create a sparkling account and set it as constrained considering which you could desire to have a minimum of one admin account so if yours is the only account it must be admin. Create a constrained account and use that to browse the cyber web and for on an well-known basis use.
