I need to hide addresses from others. 2 many fights. can't give out e-mail addresses. Which name hides from the others. The "to:" slot or the Bcc slot. I don't get it. Try to be specific. Do they come up individually or do they group like usual? And which one hides. If more than 1 is in the bcc do they hide from each other? Or do ALL the bcc hide from the "to" person? I don't get it. thanx

BCC stands for Blind Carbon Copy and hides all the email addresses you are sending the email to. If you have ever gotten an email that you cannot tell who else it was sent to, or it says undisclosed recipients, that is using BCC. If you send an email and want to hide everyone's email addy, only put the addresses in the BCC field and leave both To and CC blank.

BCC or Blind Carbon Copy will hide the addresses. There are some e-mail providers such as Yahoo that if they person hits "reply all" will reveal the BCC addresses. Not all will. You need to have someone in the "To" slot in order to BCC.

BCC is blind carbon copy. If you put all addresses in bcc, no-one will see any addresses other than their own. If you put some in to and some in BCC, then everyone will see the TO ones, but no-one will see the BCC ones. They all hide from each other in BCC, everyone sees anything in TO. Hope that clarifies matters!!

The BCC slot hides the emails and names of the persons you want to email.

When you use BCC no knows to whom you sent the message, only you.

The persons who receive it can only tell that's from you.

"TO" is for the person u want to send ur mail

"CC" is Carbon Copy the same as "TO" receiver will view the whole list of senders.

"BCC" is for Blind Carbon Copy.this is used when you want to hide the rest of the senders list .if more than one is in bcc it will hide fom each individual receiver. hop this hlps

well, bcc stands for " blind carbon copy" so that means they will be blind to each other, and it will look like only they got it from you, cc means just "carbon copy, and they can see each others addresses, and the to box is only for one address, but if you enter more than one it willl be a plain ol cc and they will see each other.

however if the folks you are sending these to are computer savvy, there are ways of finding out who it was sent to.

BCC should hide it, so each recepient doesn't see who else gets the email.
