he brags about a four port hub. Is that anything to brag about?

I asked him to help me hook all my computers together so I could get information off one and use it one the others... while they are hooked up. He couldn't solve the problem and told me to buy a new flash drive.

Seems to mt like Mr. Computer Whiz would be able to come up with something better than transfering files to a flash.

Someone else suggested a KVM switch.

What is your suggestion for me to be able to share files on three computers?

And is my "computer whiz" cousin a complete fizz instead?

my cousin is the exact same way. i called him cuz my laptop wouldnt turn on and he said he didnt kno and that i should take it to geeksquad but they would have it for a month. i took it to radio shack and they plugged in one of their chargers and the laptop turned on, so it was just the charger that was broke. takes a month to fix that? now i kno hes full of $h!t when he talks about anything.

anybody that brags about a 4 port hub is a dork!

If all the machines are on the same network, you can set the folder with the information you want to "share". The other machines can connect to this shared folder and access the information on it.

a hub, router or switch would be good

a kvm wont help you do anything with transfering

a flash drive would be easiest for a 1 time transfer
