I have 522,789 total and 108,789 available on my computer and it is giving me runtime and memory errors.
How do I clean this up? Should I? Should I defragment?

you probably are loaded with spyware. Go download Ewido from www.ewido.net and run the program. You should see some improvement!

i would suggest expanding the pagefile memory allowance for your computer, u can do this by going to control panel -> system -> advance tab -> within the performance section select settings -> again go to the advance tab -> at the bottom is virtual memory -> select change -> select custom settings and make your minimum maybe 200mb and max 1Gb

then....remove unneccesarry programs that startup with your pc, there are many ways to do this such as editting your registry or going to run on the start bar and typing msconfig and unslecting executables under your startuptab

however the easy way is to download ccleaner (google "ccleaner") its free will remove all sorts of windows and internet explorer crap, cleans your registry and can remove startup items

this will also improve performance.

bottom line is though starting up yim, aim, msn, weather bug, AV, firewalls, MS office, and the other 20 things that start with your pc, are eatting up your RAM and then cutting into page files (space on your hard drive your PC uses like RAM)

You can defrag, run disk clean, and also get rid of unused programs....next I would run a virus scan, and spyware scan. Get it all cleaned up and you can get rid of the problem.
