I have a mac os x 10.5.4 and got imovie 06 HD cause it has more features than the other imovies. I am trying to import a image sequence I made into a movie via quicktime. It was a .mov file. I have converted it to avi,wmv,mp4.... and it does the same thing everytime. "File can not be imported: unknown error". When I did a suggested mp4 conversion, it loaded... but when I transfered it to the timeline, there was absolutely no picture whatsoever. When I launch Imovie it says this
Your computer contains a graphics card which may not support Imovie:
iMovie requires a “Quartz Extreme Compatible” graphics card. Certain iMovie features such as Themes, Ken Burns Photos, and Video FX may not work properly with your graphics card."
I do not know if that has anything to do with it but I would really appreciate some help so I can get this working properly.

You do not convert your videos into the right format that imovie support. You can try a professional imovie converter to convert mov to dv, mpeg4 for importing your videos into imovie on mac:

You can download the trial version for evaluation. Hope it can help you!

When importing, it must be off a camera, otherwise iMovie won't accept it as a valid file format.

Basically, it won't work.

iMovie only supported MPEG-2/MPEG-4/Quick Time Movie/AVCHD/DV and HDV(High Definition Video).
