Remove the AOL Instant messenger, or else you'll have both running at the same time, which is annoying, and it slows down your computer.

Why would SP2 no longer be properly suited along with your laptop? in case you're employing SP1, you need to not additionally be on the internet via fact your workstation is liable to many internet exploits. you're probable internet hosting quite a few worms on your laptop. flow to Microsoft replace and enable them to ascertain your laptop for compatibility with XP/SP 2. i does no longer believe the Gateway rep in this one. SP2 does not have any diverse hardware standards than SP1 that i'm attentive to. If it quite does not paintings, it is probable time for a sparkling laptop. you are able to %. a refurbed unit up at MicroCenter for in trouble-free terms $2 hundred, and use your previous computer screen.
