Why is Dell's customer service not our of the United States?

Trying to build a computer on Dell and have been calling their customer service center and cannot seem to understnad what they are saying...any suggestions?

I really hate Dell and every other company that outsources.
If you have a problem, contact a computer expert or ask on here.

I would drop the idea of Dell. Their customer service is horrible and they keep trying to find cheaper alternatives to manufacture their products, resulting in very shoddy short lived computers.

There is a Dell in ohio. You can find the number on 1800-555-1212 i have called them before. There all easy to understand

Outsourcing (stereotypically to India) is cheaper, I guess...there's a good chance they aren't trained to help people build computers anyways, even if they were from the US. You might be better off going to a local store that does custom computers and asking them for help.
