Question:
What's Wrong with my Window 7 Aero Peek?
?

My Aero Peek was working perfectly before, but recently it was working but not now (i have no idea why it suddenly changed).

My Window 7 Aero Peek is now not working for some reason:
1) When i hover my mouse over the "Show Desktop" (on the right of the system clock) on the taskbar (little vertical rectangle box). It doesn't show my Desktop when i hover my mouse over it (it should), only when i click on it to shows my desktop.
2) When i hover my mouse over any program i already have open on the taskbar, It doesn't show a thumbnail or preview of the program (little picture of the window/program) on the taskbar. It only shows the program name.
3) When i press "window key + tab" the scrolling through program you have already open, does not work. Only Alt+tab works when selecting programs to view.
5) The Windows and the TaskBar is not as transparent as before (more of a solid color)

The general theme of the windows is like basic. I tried to change it from the personalization in the control panel, cant find it or locate where i can change back to Aero theme. I went to the pre-made Aero Theme from Windows, but it doesn't fix the problem of the Aero Peek.

I also, tried to right-click on the taskbar and go to the properties and on the "Taskbar" tab. Under the section "Preview desktop with Aero Peek", the tick box for "Use Aero Peek to preview desktop" has been blanked out and i am unable to select it.

I ran a troubleshoot on the Aero Effects and it said "Desktop Window Manager" is disabled. I went to view more information and it seem it enable it for me, but it still not working

Can anyone help or know how can i fix this?

Could be the onset of graphics card failure

or the graphics driver has become corrupted.

in device manager uninstall the graphics drivers,

reboot the computer ,

then after the drivers have reinstalled check to make sure everything is turned on

in control panel > system > advanced system settings > under performance, click on settings button > visual effects tab > check the box, adjust for best appearance > Apply > OK

Even it there was if you have starter it means you probably have a mediocre video card. Windows 7 is EXTREMLY demanding and require a very powreful video card 1024mb memory for best performance. RICK

Launch REGEDIT(Start, write down regedit),

browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/DWM

and make sure EnableAeroPeek is set to 1, rather than 0.
