When I right-click a folder on my Start Menu and select Open or Explore, it no longer pops up the folder containing those items. It simply keeps the context menu open without doing anything. I'm not sure why this is/what caused it, but I know it's not a virus. Any advice? Thanks!

Are you sure it might not just be taking awhile to open the new window? Could be that your computer has started lagging lately. If it simply takes a few minutes to load up, you might need to clean out your temporary files and cookies and things to clear up some room for your computer to think. I suggest the CleanUp! program by Stephen Gould - you can find it with Google.

If not, try "rebooting" your explorer process (it manages open windows and things like that). To do this, go to your Task Manager by hitting CTRL+ALT+DEL. Go to the Processes tab, and find "explorer.exe" - click it, and hit DEL. Your windows and startbar will vanish, but don't worry, they'll be right back. Go back to the Applications tab in the Task Manager, go to the New Task button and type in "explorer.exe" to start it back up again. That might do the trick - sometimes things just need to be rebooted.

hi Julie, during the installation technique, many purposes assist you create a commence Menu Folder. it somewhat is largely a folder that includes shortcuts (hyperlinks) to the utility (and finally different aspects like help archives) on your disk. in case you come back to a call to permit the advent of those, you have the flexibility to get admission to the utility out of your classes menu, so which you have a undemanding get admission to to the app and the linked functional aspects. The folder of shortcuts to your software would be created in a direction like this: C:information and Settingsyour_usernameStart MenuPrograms so which you would be able to circulate there and delete, upload or personalize those shortcuts.
