*** PLEASE DON'T ANSWER THIS IF YOU ARE A MAC USER!! WE ALL KNOW THAT MAC USERS ARE SMARTER AND COOLER THAN EVERYONE ELSE AND WITH THE HELP OF MAC USERS EVERYWHERE AND "JOBS CHRIST", US PC DOLTS WILL ONE DAY SEE THE LIGHT.

I know its in fashion to hate Microsoft, but I like Windows. I know there are criticisms out there such as it's unstable and concerns with security. However, I use XP for my job and I have 3-5 apps/programs running each day, every day. So far this year I have NEVER had XP freeze or crash. It happened alot last year, but I was running XP on a 8 yr old laptop. As for security, I have never had a virus or breech and I have been using PC's since Win 3.1.

I guess what I'm saying is that I like Windows because it does everything I need it do. If I were a SuperGeek who was doing some complicated things with my PC then I could see where I would be disappointed, but Im not so it works just fine for me.

So, does anyone else feel the same? Is it ok to like Window

Ever since Windows 2000, it's been okay to like windows. Win 2k and later are actual operating systems, while Windows ME is a little closer to a 15 car freeway pileup. Most of the criticisms about windows (unstable, unsecure) are from the days of the older versions.

These days, all the major operating systems (Win, Mac, Linux) are pretty much interchangable.

Yes, it is ok to like windows. In fact, the reason why MIcrosoft is so wealthy is because they are leading the industry. Most people prefer windows to mac. Microsoft was smart to put so much money into their marketing campaigns from the get-go. Also, they offered free copies to schools to get kids hooked on windows at an early age so they would never switch.

For your information, now that dual processors have come out in macs, mac sales have gone up alot and alot of people have switched over. The reason being because macs can now run their own operating system AND the windows operating system. So, now if you get a mac you get the best of both worlds. But, macs are alot more expensive.

Many of us "SuperGeeks" are satisfied with windows. Those Mac-enlightened people need to read up: Vista is more secure than Mac OS X. As for never having a virus, I'm sure you're mistaken. Everyone gets viruses, 3.1, XP, Macs or anything else. You probably just haven't gotten the big system crashers.

Hey hey there aint nothing wrong to love one OS and hate another, its all your own opinion.

Well Mac is cool and stuff but in my own opinion id say Windows is more user friendly. I LOVE Wnidows. I mean look at the stats of Windows on a whole. Take 98 for example. It is said that over 90% of computers at that time was running 98, so doesnt that say something. And look at XP it almost sold as many copies as 98.

Windows rocks

No - there is nothing wrong with you!

I myself like windows and just want to use this peacefully without saying bad things about Mac. liking windows does not mean hating Mac and vice versa

It sounds like you answered your own question.

As far as liking Windows, it's perfectly acceptable. It does what you need it to do.

Remember that computers are tools. Some people seem to believe they are statements of some kind.
